Crazy Nutz Music adds a significant new entry to its catalogue with NUTZ048, Take Control, a release by Cris Ocaña. The record carries a particular strategic weight for the label, as it strengthens Crazy Nutz Music’s connection with Latin America while placing its Tech House, Latin Tech and Minimal Tech identity alongside a Chilean artist with an international profile. Born in Santiago de Chile and now based in Miami, Cris Ocaña brings a broad artistic background to the release: DJ, producer, musician, bassist since the age of 12, founder of Cox Music Records and TwoAndThree Records, and an international DJ and music production educator. His catalogue includes releases on Elrow Music, Nervous Records, Rawthentic, Lapsus Music, ORIGINS RCRDS, Stereo Productions, Rawsome, Whoyostro, 303 Lovers, Klaphouse, Happy Techno, Great Stuff, Criminal Hype, Ole Records, Delicious, Sura, Distortion and House Heroes Music. His track “Outra Vez” with Leo Rios reached number 1 worldwide on Beatport, while “Q’Pario” with Sunday Noise received support from Marco Carola and The Martinez Brothers. On Take Control, that background is channelled into a club-focused Original Mix where contemporary Tech House meets underground House, Minimal Deep Tech and a subtle Latin rhythmic pulse. The track is driven by a firm digital kick and an elastic sub-bass that provides physical pressure, rolling movement and depth for club systems. Its percussion framework combines dry claps, agile hats, controlled swing and discreet organic accents, balancing electronic precision with a warmer tribal edge. The emotional and functional centre of the record is its female English vocal, treated as both a rhythmic hook and a conceptual anchor. “Can the feeling take control” operates as the main mantra, while “When the stars begin to glow” and “In the rhythm of your soul” add a poetic, nocturnal and almost spatial layer. Rather than leaning on excessive melodic development, the production favours dense supporting chords, atmospheric synth textures, strategic silences, dynamic cuts and reverberated vocal tension, keeping the low-end and voice at the forefront. The release is completed by Take Control (Arnau Ariza, Edvland Remix), a reinterpretation that keeps the original concept while pushing it into a more Crazy, more energetic and more dynamic club direction. Arnau Ariza, the Spanish DJ and producer behind Crazy Nutz Music as founder and General Director, brings a Tech House and Minimal Deep Tech approach shaped by punchy basslines, steady grooves and DJ-friendly arrangements. Edvland, a Barcelona-based DJ and producer with a strong connection to house and tech house, adds a warmer, groove-led sensibility built around elegant percussion, driving bass and positive dancefloor movement. Together, they transform Take Control into a release with two complementary readings: Cris Ocaña’s vocal-led, Latin-influenced and atmospheric original, and a Spanish remix that reinforces the label’s internal creative identity while pushing the record towards a more animated club environment.
